Costa Rica has been high on my bucket list for years, and this summer, I finally made it—and fell completely in love. From animal-filled rainforests to golden sand beaches, the biodiversity is unmatched. Add in the easy direct flights from LAX (just six hours!) and how simple it is to get around, and it’s truly the perfect destination.

The dining blew me away; fresh tuna crudo at Niri, bold Peruvian flavors at Puna, and a hidden speakeasy serving the best cocktails in Costa Rica.
