EXPLORA FEATURE
I recently traveled through Chile with Explora and had an incredible experience. After visiting both Patagonia and Atacama, I’m already dreaming about returning to explore their other lodges across South America.
If you’re looking for luxury adventure travel that prioritizes immersive experiences and a true sense of place, Explora does it exceptionally well.
What I love about Explora
The focus is on the destination.
Everything is designed to connect you with the landscapes, culture, and history of the region.
The guides are some of the best in the world.
In Patagonia, my guide came from a local family with more than 200 years of history in the area, bringing incredible knowledge and perspective to every excursion.
The lodges themselves are stunning.
While the focus is on what you do off property, the hotels feature beautiful architecture, fantastic spas, and incredible pools.
The food is unforgettable
One of my highlights was the traditional
Chilean barbecue in Atacama—the perfect way to end a day of adventure.
LODGE LOCATIONS
Patagonia
Towering peaks, breathtaking hikes, and some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. Patagonia is every bit as impressive as you imagine—and waking up to views like this makes it even more unforgettable.
SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS
Our lodge in the Sacred Valley is strategically located so as to allow our travelers to fully immerse in the essence of its surroundings, discovering both key places as well as remote locations alike.
DESERT & ALTIPLANO
The Atacama Desert feels almost otherworldly, with landscapes so dramatic they resemble Mars. It’s also one of the best places in the world for stargazing—home to seven of the world’s most powerful telescopes.
Fun fact: Some of the most expensive and advanced telescopes on Earth are located here.
Easter island
Situated 5 miles from the main town of Hanga Roa, the Explora lodge sits on a secluded location within the island, surrounded by trees, prairies and far-reaching views over the vast, blue Pacific Ocean.
Pricing varies by lodge and season, but rates generally range from $1,500–$3,000 per person, per night.
Explora also runs fantastic promotions at certain times of the year, so if one of these destinations is on your bucket list, always ask me about current offers.
Adventure looks different for everyone. Whether you’re dreaming of Patagonia’s iconic peaks, the stars above Atacama, or the endless salt flats of Bolivia, Explora creates experiences that stay with you long after you return home.
