How We Planned a 50-Person Corporate Retreat in Bali

I love a challenge. Especially the kind that comes with a 60-day countdown, 50 people, and a destination like Bali. This is the story of how I helped a small business turn their Series B funding announcement into a company retreat their team will never forget.

In late April, Kurt’s company had just closed their Series B funding round and wanted to celebrate in a big way: a five-day retreat in Bali for their entire 50-person team.

The catch?

It all had to happen in less than two months— during peak season.

This wasn’t just about booking flights and hotels. The retreat needed conference spaces, group dining, airport transfers, activities, on the ground support and seamless logistics from start to finish.

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!

Working with our trusted local partners in Bali, we sourced and vetted multiple properties before landing on Potato Head Suites in Seminyak. Its location, meeting spaces, and flexible indoor and outdoor venues made it the perfect fit.

We coordinated every detail so the team could focus on connecting:

VIP airport

meet-and-greet services

I coordinated VIP arrival services at the gate — every team member was guided through immigration and transported to the hotel with zero stress.

Private Group Dinners

That facilitated natural connections with attendees and designed so the founders could address the full team with some encouraging words.

Sunset catamaran cruise

Complete with a custom-made flag for GridSite — and a surprise live band waiting on board!

What Kurt Said

Celebrating a company milestone, planning a family getaway, or organizing a group trip?

Every group has its own story, priorities, and vision—and every trip deserves to feel personal, not packaged.
